Datacenter Farm / Fuel Spec & Pad Sizing
Wellhead fuel spec and pad sizing for modular compute.
Field gas is sold in Mcf/day and MMBtu/day, while compute is planned in net kW or MW after cooling and auxiliary loads. Bridging that gap before you approach a gas producer keeps both sides from wasting weeks on incompatible sites. A 1 MW net compute load plus dry-cooler parasitic draw typically requires 230 to 270 MMBtu/day of fuel gas depending on engine heat rate and site elevation.
Even when the volume fits, raw wellhead gas can carry heavy natural gas liquids (C3+ raising the BTU value and dropping the Methane Number), moisture, or hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Knowing your generator manufacturer's fuel acceptance sheet and the physical footprint needed for your containers, transformers, and acoustic clearance lets Methane.Exchange match your project against real gas analyses and pad surveys.

Share your net power or daily gas volume, generator fuel spec limits, and required pad dimensions. We read it and reply by email or phone with one or two questions. Nothing goes to anyone else without your permission. Sending creates no obligation.
Checklist of specs that speed up matching:
- Lower heating value (LHV) or higher heating value (HHV) range and minimum Methane Number required at the generator fuel train.
- Maximum allowable H2S (ppm) and CO2/N2 inert percentage before treatment is required.
- Minimum supply pressure (psig) at the fuel header and required pad dimensions in feet or acres.
- Summer ambient temperature design point for your air-cooled radiators or closed-loop dry coolers.
